Gionn Martino is a highly accomplished, experienced business executive with a career spanning more than 28 years.  He has extensive experience across a number of business sectors including professional and financial services, manufacturing, construction, property, logistics and equipment hire. Gionn’s work with business owners and stakeholders has centered on achieving alignment and engagement to create innovative organisations and drive strong growth.

With his experience and commercial background, he has developed an innate talent for isolating key organisational drivers that fuel sustainable growth.  His focus is on developing high performance in both individuals & teams and aligning them to corporate objectives and values delivers what he calls “Learning Organisations”.  Gionn’s experience in business management includes – Strategic Business Planning, Business Restructuring, Equity Raising, Financial Management, Financial Risk Analysis, Sales Performance, Staff Recruitment, Motivation, Engagement & Safety, Branding, Distribution and Marketing. QA and QC System Development and has assisted numerous companies to achieve their strategic goals and optimise shareholder value.

As a qualified accountant Gionn worked both in his own practice and earlier for a leading Perth based Chartered Accounting firm focused in the area of corporate services for small to medium sized business.  He then joined Asgard Wealth Services overseeing their superannuation & investment financial transactions and reporting.

From 1996 to 2010 Gionn was a shareholder and Managing Director of building products specialist Archistone. Gionn spearheaded the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan delivering double digit growth over a 10-year period. He completed an equity raising to develop and implement a revolutionary production methodology that underpinned profitability and sustainable growth. This transformed a small family business into a large integrated organisation turning over more than $18m p.a. In 2007 Gionn successfully negotiated the sale of Archistone to a Publicly Listed building products company.  Following the sale Gionn was retained to advise the new owner’s executive team on post-acquisition integration, continued business development and assist in restructuring other business units within the new group.

In 2012 he was recruited by a major plant hire company, delivering services to the burgeoning mining sector in Western Australia, to assist the company in growth management and transformation for exit during a period of significant growth.  During the 18 month engagement Gionn lead the complete restructure of the business including advising and managing a complete rebranding to better align the company to its markets and customers. He introduced and implemented a new financial management reporting system, CRM system and HR management system. He also developed and expanded several regional branches including recruitment of several new industry experts to assist in ongoing growth resulting in significant increase in company turnover. Working closely with shareholders he advised on a potential capital raising and exit strategies to optimise shareholder value.

Since then Gionn has worked as a consultant advising on strategy and operational processes to SME’s and family businesses on restructuring shareholdings to introduce management as shareholders for part of a long-term exit strategy and business growth.
